Published in 1977, this is the 4th printing, September 1980, and contains recipes submitted by league members, with special notations besides those recipes that are considered typically Southern.
The book also serves as an illustrated guide to things like appetizer trees, cake decorating, punch rings, garnishes, napkin folding and table settings along with a comprehensive series of kitchen charts. Throughout the book, you'll find useful culinary tips and hints.
Recipes were kitchen tested by league members and friend, evaluated by at least three testers and rated into one of four categories on the evaluation scale. Only those recipes receiving the top categories are included in the book.

Book is in good, but obviously used, condition with cover wear, and edgewear to covers. There is an inscription in ink inside front cover, upper left corner:

For the most part, the pages inside are clean, but some have stained, small and light. In addition, while the book is still well-bound, the last rung of the plastic binding is broken from page 539 on.
